The principal of the Laughing Place returned today and would like to have a meeting tomorrow morning with me and Brer Bear regarding my favorite possum. I am going to calmly and professionally explain that there is no reason I cannot have my sweet possum back. She has been having a difficult time with the transition and my current possum would probably love to have a familiar face back.
Brer Fox is pretty sly, and almost managed to get me to think the worst: perhaps I was being called in to be fired.
Then I remembered that I did nothing wrong here except politely ask for a job I was PROMISED back. (And even went quietly when they said no.)
I really would just love to enjoy the Laughing Place again, instead of resting on the hope of the Disney decision which may or may not come.
Everything resembling a white envelope in the mail makes me jump up and look right away. It's only been a week since my interview though, so I'm not expecting a decision until fall break. So while work has been stressful, I'm having a great time so far. Waiting's half the frustration, but I think it's half the fun too.
